Whether it’s international or domestic travel, a few times a year, I have to leave the comforts of home and hold my own in the jungle that is the airport and the enclosures of planes. As a result, I’ve set up a second set of my essentials for travel, including toiletries and electronics such as a 3-in-1 MagSafe charger.

Traveling as a content creator for editorial, video, and photography means that I at least take my camera, microphones, headphones, and laptop along with me, sometimes more. I also have to take my iPhone charger and one for my Kindle, since I read on the plane and before bed (when I’m not working into the wee hours of the night).

My favorite chargers for travel
Best for informed charging
Anker Prime Charger
The Anker Prime GaN charger features a small display that shows the exact output for each port in real time and lets you customize your charging modes. It also features three USB-C ports that top out at 140W, so you can charge a MacBook Pro on any one of these ports.
This Anker Prime can control how your output behaves. Since the three ports are limited to 160W in total, you can charge a laptop at 100W and another device at 60W simultaneously, or three iPhones at once.
At only 2 inches tall, 2.6 inches wide, and weighing 7.8 ounces, the Anker Prime charger is slightly larger than an AirPods Pro 3 case and fits quite well in my travel bag. The charger features a folding two-prong connector, so you can tuck it away for a more compact design.

Best for the ultimate power
Talix Zeta
The Talix Zeta offers a whopping 240W of maximum output from a single port. This PD 3.2 GaN charger also comes with a compatible 240W cord that can quickly charge even the most powerful laptops. You can charge a MacBook Pro to 55% in only about 30 minutes with it.
The Zeta features two USB-C ports that are powerful enough to charge workstations, small power banks, e-bikes, and even the Nvidia DGX Spart AI PC. When charging two devices, however, the charger intelligently balances the power output between the two ports at 140W and 70W.
This charger isn’t as compact as the Anker Prime or the EcoFlow option below, but it packs a ton of power. It has a 3-prong connector, measures 3.6 by 2.5 inches, and weighs 11.5 ounces.

Best for 3+ devices
EcoFlow Rapid Pro
The best thing about the EcoFlow Rapid Pro is that it supports four-port charging, divided into three USB-C ports and one USB-A port (because not everything has a USB-C cable yet).
You can charge a single device at 140W using one of the top two USB-C ports, such as a laptop or a power bank. The load is distributed among the four ports when they’re all in use: the top USB-C port at 65W, the second port at 45W, and the last USB-C and USB-A ports at 18W each.
It’s also quite compact, at only 2.5 inches by 2.6 inches with four ports, which EcoFlow claims is 36% smaller than other 140W USB-C power adapters. It features a dual-prong folding connector. The charger also comes with a 100W USB-C-to-USB-C cable that is 3.3 feet long.
Also: Finally, a power bank that quickly charges my MacBook Pro (and is safe for flights)
Best for international travel
Satechi Travel Charger
I got the Satechi Travel Charger for my husband, and I’ve probably used it way more than he has, as evidenced by its permanent spot powering my laptop on my desk. This Satechi comes with four adapters for international travel, so it’s a stable in my bag for IFA Berlin. The two-prong US adapter folds up to take up less space, and changing from one adapter to another is quick and easy with a press of a button along the top.
This GaN charger can quickly recharge laptops with a 145W total output and four USB-C ports. The top two ports have a 140W delivery capacity, while the bottom two top out at 45W.
It includes adapters for US, AU, EU, and UK territories. Though not as compact as other chargers on this list, the Satechi offers versatility for international travel. It measures 3.8 inches by 3 inches and weighs 12.6 ounces.

Best iPhone charger for travel
ESR 3-in-1 Charging Station
I’ve taken this ESR charging station in my carry-on for every single one of my trips (even my camping trips) since it came out. A single station can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, and then be almost flat for travel, to just about bigger than a wallet.
The 3-in-1 charger features Qi2.2 technology and 25W MagSafe charging. It also has Cryoboost technology, which keeps your devices cool while charging, regardless of its compact size. It can charge an iPhone 17 to 50% in only 26 minutes. I’ve successfully proven this true by having to recharge my depleted iPhone 17 Pro Max during hotel pit stops on work trips.
The ESR charging station is also great for office use, whether you’re at home or traveling to the office.
Also: I tested this fan-equipped MagSafe charger in a heat wave – and it actually kept my iPhone cool
