Donald Trump’s former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been diagnosed with cancer.
The American attorney is currently undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer after she received her diagnosis last month.
Ms Bondi was diagnosed after she was fired by the US President at the beginning of April.
The 60-year-old is currently receiving treatment, including surgery several weeks ago, the lawyer told CBS.
Despite her diagnosis, Ms Bondi is continuing her work in Washington DC.
As it stands, she is set to join the White House’s advisory council on artifical intelligence, the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
An ex-White House adviser, Katie Miller, heaped well wishes onto Ms Bondi and declared that “Pam has been quietly kicking cancer’s a** the last few weeks”.
The podcaster added that she “has a heart of gold”.
