
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a teenager who died from multiple stab wounds at a park in Luton.
Four other teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of the same murder.
Officers were called to Kingsway Recreation Ground at around 6.30pm following reports that several teenagers had been spotted “carrying large knives”.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds but died a short time later, Bedfordshire Police confirmed.
The victim has not yet been formally identified, but his family are being supported by specially trained officers, police said.
Detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit are leading the investigation.
