Martin Kemp’s secret friendship with the Princess of Wales has been revealed, as well as the surprising gift he gave her.
The I’m A Celebrity star, 64, and his wife Shirlie Holliman, 63, welcomed the Princess of Wales into their home – and it was all thanks to their son Roman.
Roman revealed that the Princess of Wales got in touch with him to set up a meeting about a mental health project he had been fronting.
After a Zoom call with Kate, she asked to come to his house for filming for the project but he instead suggested they instead go to his parents.
When Kate arrived, Roman said she was quick to offer to take off her shoes – and as she left the Kemp family gifted her some of their homegrown apple juice.
Discussing the day with The Sun on Saturday, Roman said: ‘So my mum raced out and got a load of nice things in, and suddenly the future Queen is having tea and biscuits with her and my dad!’

‘I remember when she arrived she could see everyone else had taken their shoes off so she offered to take hers off.
‘It was surreal, somehow you never expect to see a member of the Royal Family in their socks!’
He went on to say that Martin and Shirlie gifted Kate a bottle of their apple juice they press in their back garden and weeks later the Princess wrote them a letter of thanks – and revealed Prince George was asking for more.
Kate also sent a note to Roman, which he admitted he has hung on his wall at home.
Martin, who is currently in Australia in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, left his campmates and viewers speechless on Monday after revealing he’d lost out on the role of James Bond to Pierce Brosnan.
He opened up about auctioning for the iconic role with fans at home declaring he would have made the ‘sexiest ever’ 007.
Martin, who is no strange to the silver screen and starred in 1990 film The Krays with brother Gary, as well as playing Steve Owen in EastEnders, said: ‘I was up for James Bond, I met Barbara Broccoli. Did that in my youth’.
With Kelly Brook later declaring in the Bush Telegraph: ‘He would have made a great Bond, he has got those beautiful blue eyes, he’s very tall, he’s got the charisma!’.

Taking to X stunned fans gushed: ‘Martin Kemp would have been the sexiest James Bond. I might have finally watched my first James Bond if so,’;

‘Martin Kemp would have been a top class Bond.’
Pierce was cast as 007 in 1995’s Goldeneye and went on to appear in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002) before being replaced by Daniel Craig.
It comes after Shona McGarty found herself caught up in an awkward innuendo with Martin during Friday night’s episode of I’m A Celeb.
The EastEnders actress joined the Spandau Ballet star, Jack Osbourne and Alex Scott for the Dreaded Dunnies Trial as they sat side by side on revolting toilets with critters falling down as they secured stars.
The celebrities each had to retrieve a tool from inside their dunny to start unscrewing the stars from the holder.
However each star would only be unlocked by one of the four tools on offer, so the celebrities had to move the stars along to the next person if unable to unlock it.
And Shona found herself asking Martin a rather awkward question as she referred to the size of his ‘tool’: ‘Martin have you got a small one,’ she asked, ‘Sorry! Intimate question.’
Martin laughed as he replied: ‘Mine’s a bit bigger!’
Pushing the joke further later after the group secured 12 stars, Shona teased: ‘Martin you had a big tool didn’t you,’ as he added: ‘Yeah I have, wait I didn’t mean it like that’.
