The soon-to-be-taken-over by Paramount, Warner Bros, has a big tentpole they just dated: Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest for June 1, 2029.

The movie reportedly centers on, you guessed it, Aegon I, the first Lord of the Seven Kingdoms who spawned the Targaryen dynasty — the royal family at the heart of the entire franchise. This would mark the first time Aegon I has been depicted on screen. The feature is an expansion of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire.
Aside from the core HBO franchise, there are two spinoff series based on the George R.R. Martin fantasy novels: House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
