Hokas are some of the most popular sneakers around, often recommended by podiatrists, nurses, and others who really know sneakers. The best-selling Clifton, Bondi, and Mach styles are among the cult classics, but several die-hard Hoka fans say the underrated Kawana 2 sneaker is the all-time best—even after trying the other front runners.

Why? Fans love the Kawana 2 for its balanced design, which offers the stability you’d expect from a Hoka gym shoe combined with the signature cushioning and lightweight feel that made the brand’s running sneakers famous. It’s the kind of sneaker that works just as well for training as it does for long days on your feet. Right now, you can snag a pair for as low as $91—35 percent off its usual price.

One of the best Hoka deals you’ll find online right now is at Zappos, which is offering up to $50 off the Kawana 2 in several colors. The shoes are built with a sock-like mesh upper and a decent slab of EVA foam to cushion each step. They’re suitable for running, considering the smooth rocker silhouette, but they still have lateral stability for side-to-side movement, an uncommon feature for running shoes. According to the brand, this is how the Kawana 2 “easily shifts from street to studio.”

Shoppers say they wear them for everything, from walking an average of six miles a day on a Las Vegas vacation or working 15-hour shifts in the emergency room. “After having almost every model [of Hokas], these are still my favorite,” wrote one reviewer, adding that they walk in them “four to five miles a day, seven days a week.” Another customer is so loyal to this sneaker that they own seven pairs.

Several shoppers commented that they tried the shoes on a podiatrist’s recommendation, and that they were “comfortable right out of the box”—even so much as “the best shoes [they] have ever purchased.” A person with severe plantar fasciitis said they actually make them feel like they’re walking on clouds.

Right now at Zappos, seven of the nine available colors are 30 to 35 percent off, ranging in price from $91 to $98. It’s not often you can find these—or any Hoka shoes—under $100, so hop on this deal while it lasts. Read on for more popular styles on sale across the internet, including $81 Rincon 4s and the top-selling Bondi 9 for 30 percent off.
