For those more interested in the band’s lore than new music, there’s a plethora of books tracking the band’s iconic journey, from their humble Liverpool beginnings to their incredible rise to Beatlemania fame to their acrimonious breakup in 1970. One upcoming release, Erika White’s “Meat the Beatles: The Butcher Cover,” unpacks the story behind the infamous 1966 “Yesterday and Today” album cover, which featured John, Paul, George and Ringo in butcher coats, surrounded by raw meat and dismembered dolls. The Boys of Dungeon Lane – Amazon Exclusive White Vinyl Edition

“The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” is Beatles legend Paul McCartney’s new solo album, and a highly-anticipated release for any Beatlemaniac. This limited-edition vinyl is available exclusively at Amazon and pressed in an exclusive white hue. The set includes a 12-page lyric booklet and embossed cover artwork.

“1964: Eyes of the Storm,” by McCartney and historian Jill Lepore, features more than 274 largely unseen images from the legendary months between 1963-1964 when The Beatles became an international sensation — all taken on McCartney’s 35mm camera. Acclaimed music anthologist and writer Philip Norman utilizes years of research and first-hand interviews with those close to the Fab Four in this expansive biography, published 11 years after the iconic rock band split up and, most notably, a year after John Lennon’s assassination. The epic tale charts the English stars from their humble beginnings in Liverpool, to their astonishing heights of fame, to their acrimonious split. This edition is updated to include Paul McCartney’s 1997 knighting and Lennon’s 1980 assassination.

John Lennon has cited Braun’s biography as the most honest account of the band’s hey-day, even better than Hunter Davies’ much more popular, and also very good, biographical “Beatles Book.” Braun takes readers through a nothing-is-off-limits ride-along with the band-members, showcasing each musician’s famous wit, even when it gets them in trouble at times.
