Qatar Airways has announced a limited number of flights to and from Doha for passengers whose original bookings were disrupted by the ongoing conflict in Iran.

The flights are scheduled for March 10, 11, and 12 with a range of international departures and destinations including London, Dallas, Istanbul, Mumbai, Madrid, Moscow, and Toronto. For the full list of airports, see the Qatar Airways website.

The temporary schedule is being offered to “passengers who have been affected by the current disruption, and to help them reunite with family and friends as quickly and safely as possible” and “do not constitute a confirmation of the resumption of scheduled commercial operations,” Qatar Airways said in a statement on Monday, March 9.

While much of Qatar’s airspace remains closed, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has approved emergency flight corridors in order to safely operate repatriation flights.

“Qatar Airways scheduled flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace,” the March 9 statement continues. “Qatar Airways will resume operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe full reopening of Qatari airspace by the relevant authorities.”

The partial resumption of flights follows a week of airspace closures as the country dealt with incoming drones and missiles from Iran. Just before midnight on Friday, March 6, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) first announced the approval of select flight routes on X, saying the departures would initially be reserved for stranded passengers leaving the country.

“Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) announces the partial resumption of air navigation in the State of Qatar, through designated navigational contingency routes with limited operational capacity, in full coordination with the Qatari Armed Forces and the relevant authorities in the State,” the statement said. “This phase includes the operation of a limited number of flights designated for passenger evacuation, in addition to the operation of air cargo flights, in light of the current circumstances in the region, and in a manner that ensures the continued provision of essential air services.”

It added that it has been working closely with state authorities to ensure the safety and security of all passengers, and is continuously monitoring developments.

The repatriation flights will initially only operate for passengers who have been stranded since the strikes started, with confirmed bookings from their respective airlines. Regular flight schedules have yet to resume.

The airline is requesting that passengers do not go to the airport unless they have received a confirmation from Qatar Airways that they have a seat on an upcoming flight. “We are working around the clock to organize additional relief flights where operationally possible and will share further updates as soon as they are confirmed,” it said.

All passengers should ensure their contact details are up to date on the airline’s website and app. Travelers with confirmed bookings with travel dates between February 28 and March 22, 2026 are eligible for two complimentary date changes of up to 14 days from the original travel date, or
a full refund of the unused value of your ticket. According to the airline, the next update will be provided on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
