Prince Andrew ‘gagged’ Virginia Giuffre to stop her tarnishing the Queen’s platinum jubilee, memoir claims
Andrew relinquished the use of his titles and honours on Friday, including his Duke of York title, after facing mounting pressure from King Charles following the long-lasting Epstein scandal.
In her posthumous memoir released next Tuesday, Ms Giuffre exposes details of further attention on the allegations of abuse against the disgraced prince and his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
She tells how Andrew’s disastrous Newsnight interview was like an “injection of jet fuel” for her legal team, and it raised the possibility of “subpoenaing” his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and drawing them into the legal case, according to The Telegraph.

William ‘not satisfied with Andrew outcome and will ban him from coronation’
The Prince of Wales is not satisfied with the Prince Andrew outcome and will take a more ruthless approach to his disgraced uncle and ban him from his future coronation, it has been reported.
Heir to the throne William was consulted on the decision that led to Andrew relinquishing his dukedom on Friday, but the Sunday Times said William “knows the ‘Andrew problem’ will be in his in-tray at some point”.
The newspaper claimed future king William will be “more ruthless” and is “not satisfied with the outcome”.
Meanwhile, it was reported Andrew tried to get the Metropolitan Police to dig up dirt for a smear campaign against his sexual assault accuser Virginia Giuffre.

Signs of a fresh change in monarchy? What Andrew’s recent debacle shows
On Friday, Buckingham Palace released a statement from Andrew saying that he had agreed to give up use of his last remaining royal titles so that continued allegations about him “don’t distract from the work of His Majesty.”
It came as Charles, who is 76 and undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, works to ensure the long-term stability of the monarchy under his son and heir Prince William.
William recently gave an interview in which he set out his vision for the monarchy, saying that the institution needed to change to make sure that it is a force for good.
“In some ways, PrinceAndrew has been the exact opposite of that,” said Craig Prescott, an expert on the monarchy and constitutional law at Royal Holloway University of London.
“And there is no space for that in the modern monarchy.”
Andrew, 65, is the second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II. He spent more than 20 years as an officer in the Royal Navy before leaving to take up his royal duties in 2001.

Timeline of all the royal’s scandals as Prince Andrew surrenders Duke of York title
Widely purported to have been the late Queen’s “favourite” child, Prince Andrew has suffered a sharp fall from grace over the last decade.
Plagued by a string of controversies, the latest blow has seen new messages between the duke and Jeffrey Epstein come to light – sent months after Andrew claimed to have cut the disgraced financier off.
Emails between Andrew and Epstein handed to a court in London reportedly show they were still exchanging messages until at least late February 2011, when the duke wrote: “Keep in close touch and we’ll play some more soon.”
Here, The Independent takes a look at a timeline of Andrew’s fall from grace and his retreat from the public eye.

Why hasn’t Andrew been stripped of his titles?
Prince Andrew voluntarily relinquished use of his titles with agreement from the King, he said on Friday.
He was not stripped of his titles, which would require an act of parliament. Rather, the titles are now not in use.
This avoids a potentially arduous task that could draw out the process and cause more trouble for the royals.
Andrew faces humiliation in giving up his titles, but can say he has done so “to put my duty to my family and the country first”.

Virginia Giuffre’s family call for the release of all Epstein files
Virginia Giuffre’s sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, has called for the US justice department to release all documents relating to Epstein.
Speaking to Newsnight, she said only 1 per cent of the documents had been released.
“This country is in possession to the key to not only further incriminating Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, but taking down all the enablers.”
“It’s so important, that is the justice we are looking for. That is the justice Virginia wanted and we will not stop until that happens.”
Prince Andrew giving up his title is just “a small slither” of the justice, she says.
Sky Roberts, Giuffre’s brother, said that there are more people who need to be held to account beyond Prince Andrew.

What will happen to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie?
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, daughters of disgraced Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, will retain their titles and statuses.
Meanwhile, Ferguson has lost her title as the Duchess of York, and Andrew’s titles will no longer be used.
Both daughters will continue to be included in family and official events, as reporting from The Sunday Times reveals that Andrew and Ferguson will be banished from all royal occasions when Prince William is King.
The Sunday Times reported that William remains close to both his cousins, Beatrice and Eugenie, and they will continue to be welcomed at family gatherings.
