Oceania Cruises, the world’s foremost luxury cruise line that focuses on gastronomy and destination, is pleased to announce the itineraries for the very first season of its new ship, Oceania Sonata™. The first of the innovative Sonata Class, Oceania Sonata will commence voyages in August 2027, and the itineraries will be open for viewing from now. However, the sale of tickets will commence on January 28, 2026.

Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season spans from August 2027 through April 2028, offering 22 sailings to over 90 destinations, with itineraries ranging from 7 to 16 days. These voyages will take travelers through a collection of breathtaking European ports, including vibrant cities and enchanting coastal towns, as well as tropical escapes across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. Known for its destination-rich itineraries, Oceania Cruises ensures that every journey is designed to offer immersive experiences, from exclusive shore excursions to overnight port stays and longer days ashore.

A World of Exploration Awaits Aboard Oceania Sonata

Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season features several diverse and captivating itineraries, ensuring that guests can explore the most sought-after destinations across Europe and the Caribbean. The first voyage, departing from Rome (Civitavecchia) on August 7, 2027, will be a 14-day journey through the Mediterranean, stopping in notable ports such as Catania, Malta, Katakolon, Greece, and Zadar, Croatia. The ship will also visit lesser-known gems like Paros, Greece; Sarandë, Albania; and Koper, Slovenia, all while offering plenty of opportunities for deeper exploration through overnight stays in cities such as Bordeaux, France, and Istanbul, Turkey.

Following her Mediterranean voyages, Oceania Sonata will head across the Atlantic to begin her Caribbean season from Miami, where guests can enjoy vibrant destinations like Bridgetown, Barbados, and Tortola, British Virgin Islands, as well as hidden gems in Latin America, including Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa, Mexico, and Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience a daylight transit through the Panama Canal, one of the world’s most iconic travel experiences.

Exclusive Culinary Experiences and New Dining Venues

Oceania Sonata will continue the cruise line’s renowned legacy of offering the finest cuisine at sea. As part of her luxury offerings, the ship will introduce several new dining venues, including the exclusive La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France. This fine-dining restaurant will be the only venue at sea with the prestigious seal of approval from Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, a revered culinary institution. Additionally, the ship will feature Nikkei Kitchen, which will offer a vibrant fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines, bringing together the best of both cultures in an exciting new dining experience.

Guests aboard Oceania Sonata will also enjoy an expanded array of dining options, with 13 culinary experiences available at no additional cost. From sophisticated dining rooms to casual cafes and specialty restaurants, the ship will cater to every culinary preference with the finest ingredients and expert preparation.

Unmatched Luxury and Comfort for Every Guest

Oceania Sonata will accommodate up to 1,390 guests with a crew of 855, ensuring personalized and attentive service. The ship will feature spacious, beautifully designed staterooms and suites, each with ocean views and luxurious amenities. Guests will also have access to the most diverse culinary program at sea, as well as a range of social and entertainment spaces, including the new Opus Lounge, a relaxed living room by day and chic bar by night.

For guests seeking an enhanced experience, Oceania Sonata will also offer a selection of luxurious suites with additional perks such as exclusive access to private lounges, priority embarkation, and personalized concierge services.

A Ship Designed for Unrushed Exploration

Oceania Cruises’ ethos of allowing guests to explore the world at their own pace is central to the design of Oceania Sonata. The ship will offer longer stays in port, allowing for more time to connect with each destination’s culture, history, and cuisine. This approach enables guests to enjoy a more relaxed and immersive experience, whether they are enjoying a leisurely stroll through a Mediterranean city or taking part in a hands-on cooking class in the Caribbean.

Book Your Voyage on Oceania Sonata for an Unforgettable Luxury Experience

Oceania Sonata, which will make its phenomenal debut in 2027, proposes a fresh way of touring the globe mingled with luxury, comfort, and cultural immersion. Not only the first Mediterranean sailings but also the thrilling Caribbean voyages are the highlights of Oceania’s new luxury ship that can possibly change the whole luxury cruise experience. You will be enjoying the first historical journey by reserving a seat on one of Oceania Sonata’s very first sailings, and the reservations will start on January 28, 2026.
