The first of the innovative Sonata Class, Oceania Sonata will commence voyages in August 2027, and the itineraries will be open for viewing from now. However, the sale of tickets will commence on January 28, 2026.
Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season spans from August 2027 through April 2028, offering 22 sailings to over 90 destinations, with itineraries ranging from 7 to 16 days. These voyages will take travelers through a collection of breathtaking European ports, including vibrant cities and enchanting coastal towns, as well as tropical escapes across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America. Known for its destination-rich itineraries, Oceania Cruises ensures that every journey is designed to offer immersive experiences, from exclusive shore excursions to overnight port stays and longer days ashore.
A World of Exploration Awaits Aboard Oceania Sonata
Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season features several diverse and captivating itineraries, ensuring that guests can explore the most sought-after destinations across Europe and the Caribbean. The first voyage, departing from Rome (Civitavecchia) on August 7, 2027, will be a 14-day journey through the Mediterranean, stopping in notable ports such as Catania, Malta, Katakolon, Greece, and Zadar, Croatia. The ship will also visit lesser-known gems like Paros, Greece; Sarandë, Albania; and Koper, Slovenia, all while offering plenty of opportunities for deeper exploration through overnight stays in cities such as Bordeaux, France, and Istanbul, Turkey.
Following her Mediterranean voyages, Oceania Sonata will head across the Atlantic to begin her Caribbean season from Miami, where guests can enjoy vibrant destinations like Bridgetown, Barbados, and Tortola, British Virgin Islands, as well as hidden gems in Latin America, including Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa, Mexico, and Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience a daylight transit through the Panama Canal, one of the world’s most iconic travel experiences.

Exclusive Culinary Experiences and New Dining Venues
Oceania Sonata will continue the cruise line’s renowned legacy of offering the finest cuisine at sea. As part of her luxury offerings, the ship will introduce several new dining venues, including the exclusive La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France. This fine-dining restaurant will be the only venue at sea with the prestigious seal of approval from Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, a revered culinary institution. Additionally, the ship will feature Nikkei Kitchen, which will offer a vibrant fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisines, bringing together the best of both cultures in an exciting new dining experience.
Guests aboard Oceania Sonata will also enjoy an expanded array of dining options, with 13 culinary experiences available at no additional cost.
