Spain My Way: Eat, Drink and Cook like a Spaniard, a cookbook by José Andrés, is already expected to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. A sneak peek of the book reveals 130 new recipes, including paella, a Basque-style cheesecake, along with stories from cities in his home country, including Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville. Recipes from Valencia took me back to an afternoon lounging in the lawns near The City of Arts and Sciences, staring at orange trees, plucking pieces of rabbit from paella with my fingers, and swirling toast into olive oil.

The new book is evocative and paints an intimate portrait of the way Andres likes to eat, while telling stories of Spanish food culture through Andrés home cooking.

The beloved chef is celebrated for his 40 restaurants worldwide, including Jaleo and Minibar in DC and Bazaar in New York City. But in recent years he has become known mostly for his humanitarian work through World Central Kitchen, the nonprofit he founded in 2010.

Andrés is often on the front lines feeding people impacted by catastrophic weather and global conflict, serving as the world’s preeminent culinary diplomat. But like all of us, he still cooks at home. Spain My Way takes readers to his kitchen and shows how he lives, how he eats, and how he spends his summers, barefoot, with long lazy lunches of whole fish with friends, family, and a second bottle of wine.

Spain My Way will be available May 2026.
