Meghan joined the children at the hospital for painting and craft activities and met with patients in their rooms. Pictures shared on the hospital’s Instagram page captured the duchess chatting with families and taking part in the art sessions.
The post was captioned: “Today we were honoured to welcome LA’s own Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA’s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients.
“These special moments are a reminder of how powerful creativity can be in fostering joy, connection, and healing.”
Royal fans were quick to rush to the comment section to praise the Duchess for her surprise visit.
One user wrote on X: “Great work duchess Meghan continue to encourage the kids.”
Another one added: “The Children’s Princess.”
A third one said: “This is incredibly touching. Bringing comfort, creativity, and smiles to children who are going through so much is such a beautiful use of her time and platform. A really special visit.”
Meanwhile, a fourth one wrote on an Instagram fanpage: “It’s admirable that Meghan has been supporting sick children for years, even before Harry, and giving them more visibility through her visits.”

The Duchess’s visit formed part of the organisation’s Make March Matter annual fundraiser, the hospital said in the social media post.
