The Ult Field 1 is the smallest in Sony’s Ult Field lineup, but its small size doesn’t mean it’s not a capable portable speaker. The Ult Field 1 features an Ult button for instant bass boost, an IP67 dust and waterproof rating, 12 hours of playtime, and a built-in microphone for hands-free calling.

The Soundcore Boom 2 is a hybrid of portable and party speakers, making it a great option for larger outdoor gatherings. The Boom 2 sports an IPX7 waterproof rating, though it is not dust-resistant. The Boom 2 can float in water, so it’s a great option for people with backyard pools.

Bose SoundLink Micro
- Current price: $99 (23% off)
- Original price: $129
The SoundLink Micro is the smallest speaker in Bose’s SoundLink family, delivering 12 hours of playtime and an IP67 dust and waterproof rating in an ultra-portable design. Like Ultimate Ears Miniroll. I recommend the SoundLink Micro to those who are often active outdoors but don’t want to wear headphones or carry a heavier speaker.
However, the SoundLink Micro has a more refined sound profile than the Miniroll. Ahead of October Prime Day, the SoundLink Micro is on sale in Sandstone, Blue Dusk, and Dewdrop Mint.
