All the Azul Conecta flights listed in the schedule were planned to be operated by the Cessna C208 Grand Caravan aircraft. This turboprop model is typically configured for short-haul regional flights and is commonly used by the carrier for connecting smaller and medium-sized cities to larger hubs, generally seating nine passengers. The reliance on this aircraft type for multiple daily rotations necessitates high operational efficiency and any disruption to a single aircraft can create a cascading effect across the network.

The affected city pairs, showing both outbound and return legs, were:

• Viracopos Int’l (VCP) to Jacarepagua (RRJ) and vice-versa: This route connects Campinas, a major economic center, with Rio de Janeiro. Four separate flight numbers were scheduled for this city pair.
• Tancredo Neves Int’l (CNF) to Jacarepagua (RRJ) and vice-versa: This route links Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais, with Rio de Janeiro. Four separate flight numbers were scheduled for this city pair.
• Viracopos Int’l (VCP) to Araraquara (AQA) and vice-versa: This regional route connects Campinas to Araraquara in the interior of São Paulo state. Two flight numbers were scheduled for this pair.

Delays

In addition to the cancellations by Azul Conecta, three flight delays were recorded, accounting for 11% of the total recorded disruptions.

Rio de Janeiro (RRJ), a globally renowned tourist destination, along with Belo Horizonte (CNF), known for its historical and cultural attractions and Campinas (VCP), a significant commercial center, depend heavily on reliable air connectivity. Furthermore, Araraquara (AQA), an important city in the São Paulo countryside, relies on air travel for regional business and local tourism access.
