Two soldiers were left seriously injured after a military Land Rover Defender and its trailer rolled three times across a dual carriageway when a car cut in front of it.
Dashcam footage released by police shows the dramatic moment the military vehicle flips repeatedly across both lanes of the A43 near Hulcote, Northamptonshire.
The crash occurred at 8.35am on January 10 last year and has been described by police as “completely avoidable”.
Crenguta Aruxandei, 44, was the driver of the Audi Q2 responsible for causing the collision and has since been sentenced at Northampton Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving, the Telegraph reports.
She was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and banned from driving for 12 months.
Aruxandei must also pass an extended driving test before she will be permitted to return to the wheel.
The footage shows Aruxandei slowing and moving from the outside to the inside lane of the dual carriageway before turning left, forcing the Land Rover Defender driver to take evasive action.
The military vehicle, which was travelling in convoy in the inside lane with a trailer attached, then rolled three times along the road.

The 36-year-old driver suffered a suspected broken back in the collision.
His 31-year-old male passenger sustained a significant head injury.
Both soldiers were taken to hospital following the incident.
Aruxandei admitted the charges in February before being sentenced earlier this month.

Detective Constable Eleanor Hudson of Northampton Police said: “Holding a driving licence is a privilege and a responsibility, and there is no place on our roads for drivers who put the lives of innocent members of the public at risk.”
She added: “This was a completely avoidable collision on one of our major roads, which has left two other road users seriously injured.”
DC Hudson said she was pleased that Aruxandei would not be able to return to driving without first passing an extended test to demonstrate she was safe to do so.
Police released the dashcam footage as part of their response to the sentencing, which took place this month.
The A43 is a major road connecting Northampton to other parts of Northamptonshire and sees significant volumes of both civilian and military traffic.
No other vehicles are understood to have been involved in the incident.
It is not known what condition both the injured soldiers are in.
The case was prosecuted following a guilty plea entered in February, avoiding the need for a full trial.
Aruxandei’s driving ban takes immediate effect, with reinstatement conditional on passing the extended test.
Police have not released further details about the nature of the military convoy or the unit involved.
