Lando Norris may have taken the checkered flag at F1 Mexico last weekend, but racing fans had something else to cheer for, as Mattel unveiled the latest additions to its Formula 1 Hot Wheels collaboration.

Over a weekend of breathless racing and high speed drama at the Formula 1 Gran Premio De La Ciudad De México, Hot Wheels unveiled their first complete roster of F1 cars, rounding out the 2025 championship grid with the additions of Scuderia Ferrari and Aston Martin to the toy car lineup. All ten teams and all twenty drivers, are rendered in near impeccable detail at 1:64 scale — each small enough to fit in your pocket.

The new models were unveiled at Mexico City’s Museo Soumaya by famed Mexican race car driver Sergio “Checo” Perez, who will be returning to Formula 1 next season as a driver for Cadillac in their debut season as the eleventh team on the paddock.

To highlight just how faithful to their full size counterparts the models are, Perez played a game of “Real or Hot Wheels” in which he — and attendees — struggled to differentiate between the cars he drove and raced against for years, and high resolution photos of their Hot Wheels counterparts.

“For our fans across Latin America, experiencing this collection launch in Mexico City makes it even more special, as motorsport heritage meets local pride,” Adriana Schutte, Marketing Director at Mattel LATAM, told Rolling Stone. “This collaboration between Hot Wheels and the world of Formula 1 isn’t just about the die-cast cars, it’s about capturing the thrill of the track, the roar of the fans in the stands, and the vibrant energy of Latin America’s racing culture.”

“With the addition of Scuderia Ferrari HP and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team to the collection, fans of every team on the grid can now experience Formula 1 in a whole new way,” adds Ted Wu, Global Head of Vehicles and Building Sets at Mattel. “Hot Wheels has always celebrated the most exciting vehicles in the world, and nothing is more thrilling than Formula 1.”

Hot Wheels Toy Cars Formula 1 Five-Pack

Each pack contains five team cars at random

Over the course of the weekend, Hot Wheels delighted fans and collectors at the Mexico City Grand Prix with the opportunity to test out the new models on the brand’s two Formula 1 toy race tracks. Fans could also purchase models in the 2024 lineup of the Hot Wheels Formula 1 series.

VIP attendees, meantime, were treated to a spectacular view of the race between the Ese del Lago and the Horquilla corners of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, where race winner Norris, runner up Charles Leclerc, and third place finisher Max Verstappen scrapped with Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Oscar Piastri in an intense early race battle for the CDMX podium. Norris eventually took the win, vaulting him above teammate Piastri in the 2025 Driver’s Standings.
