Let us be glad, let us be grateful. . . because Wicked: For Good is soon upon us.
On November 21, the highly anticipated Wicked sequel from director Jon M. Chu will hit the big screen. Lead stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are reprising their roles as Elphaba and Glinda (in wonderful looks by Oscar-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell.)
In anticipation of the big release, the press tour for the film has officially begun. Last night, Grande kicked things off at a screening of the film at the DGA Theater in New York. Naturally, she embraced method dressing for the occasion. Grande introduced the movie wearing two shades of Glinda pink: A light pink plissé corset top and full silk skirt in fuchsia, both designed by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood.
In the month ahead, we are bound to see even more Glinda pinks and Elphaba greens from Grande and Erivo. The first Wicked press tour was a masterclass in method dressing after all, with both leading women walking countless red carpets in high-fashion pink and green looks.
