A new Hyatt is coming to Rome, bookable from 12,000 World of Hyatt points

The Eternal City is about to get a brand new, centrally located hotel, and it’s a great option for World of Hyatt points redemptions.

The Hyatt Regency Rome Central will open Feb. 3, 2026, just a few blocks from Rome Termini train station in historic Esquiline Hill. It’s within easy walking distance of the Colosseum and the popular Monti neighborhood.

And best of all, redemption rates for Hyatt loyalists start at just 12,000 points. I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency properties in Mexico City and Chicago, and I’m a fan of their modern design, efficient service and spacious rooms. This redemption at a brand-new property seems like reason alone to book a ticket to Rome. (OK, the pizza, pasta and incredible architecture are reasons, too.)

    The hotel

When the Hyatt Regency Rome Central opens in February, it will have 238 rooms, including 20 suites. All have premium amenities, such as robes and slippers, as well as elegant bathrooms with marble sinks and jade green tiled showers.

One unique feature of the hotel is a heated rooftop pool, a rare feature in Rome, especially in the urban center. Alongside it will be the Pool Bar and lounge — one of four culinary offerings at the hotel. The other options are Asian-inspired Niroma, Italian-American breakfast spot and evening bar space Ciao, Brooklyn!, and the all-day lobby lounge and bar Juno.

The property will also include the brand’s Regency Club Lounge, which is available for guests with “Regency Club” room bookings as well as World of Hyatt Globalist members.

    How to book

After the hotel opens Feb. 3, Hyatt loyalists will be able to book rooms from 12,000 points for most of the month, including select weekends.
