The offer has reportedly been given to Andrew by Barrister Samantha Kane, who brought Carbisdale Castle in Sutherland in 2022.

While she spends a lot of time in London working on court cases, Samantha now refers to herself as Lady Carbisdale since purchasing the massive 19-bed castle.

With the castle being nice and remote, Samantha has now shown an interest in wanting to offer it as a place for Andrew and his family to go to escape the scandals he is currently facing.

She has also shown an interest in representing him on a legal front as she believes he has been “treated badly”.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Samantha said: “I am writing to the prince to offer my castle for his exclusive use – and that of his family, including his former wife, Sarah Ferguson. I feel strongly that he is being hounded unfairly. He remains innocent of these allegations. I am also prepared to offer to represent him against these allegations and over moves to oust him from his current property. I really think he has been treated badly.”

She continued: “I believe the Prince, like anyone else, must not be judged by public opinion without a proper hearing which he was not given.”

If Andrew does accept the offer, he will not be the only royal to have ever stayed at the castle. This is because the castle, which was originally built for the Duchess of Sutherland in 1907, was used as a place of sanctuary for King Haakon VII of Norway and Crown Prince Olav during Nazi occupation of their native countries during the Second World War.

The castle was recently put on the market but has since been removed from sale.
